I dug up another buried treasure from yesteryear for this Gratitude. I regret that I don’t know a lot about TTNG beyond this one album. It’s in a genre far out of my comfort zone, which doesn’t leave me with a whole lot to say. What I can say is that its percussion is something really special, and the singer and guitarist match it perfectly as the song’s intensity ebbs and calms. I also just like the way the lyrics transition from hook to verse. Apparently the names of each track in the album were all placeholders that stuck; yet the songs themselves feel heartfelt and meticulous, and don’t give off the vibe of being rushed or spur-of-the-moment at all. I feel lucky to have stumbled upon it, and hopefully another person out there will feel the same way.
