‘Dstorv’, in my opinion, is a perfect song.
‘Artcore’ songs tend to be as pretentious as the name of the genre would suggest, but there’s something entrancing about the kind of focused listening they ask of the listener. Feryquitous has no qualms layering all manner of chopped breakbeat drums, organic and electronic piano melodies, rewound pads and a fictional language to make something that feels really ethereal.
The song has a number of official remixes, and all of them are fantastic. A VIP of the song, Dstorv:ALCA, transforms the fast paced track into a downtempo ballad, and really compliments the original in my opinion.
